Breedlove's Tabletop Essentials is a provisions company based in Austin, Texas and run by the husband and wife team of Chefs Jonathan & Ami Mayfield. Breedlove’s focuses on bringing organic hyper seasonal fruits & vegetables to the market by preserving them in the most delicious ways. Breedlove's only sells the highest quality ingredients from local Hill Country growers, blended with organic vinegars, sugars, & spices. The entire catalog is Vegetarian/Vegan unless specified on the label. Breedlove’s goal is to foster a creatively driven “co-op” environment at the market booth by promoting local Texas farms, businesses, and artisans.
Chef Jonathan Mayfield is a Houston native trained at Le Cordon Bleu London in England. Jonathan has worked for some of the finest restaurants & hotels both in Europe and in Texas. Jonathan has been fortunate to work for some of the best in the industry such as Chef David Bull and Chef Ollie Couillad. Jonathan has spent his most recent years serving as the Executive Chef for Austin’s iconic hot spot Jo’s Coffee where he gravitated towards Nouvelle Southern Cuisine grounded in French Technique and developed a love for all that is pickled and fermented.
Chef Ami Mayfield is an Austin native classically trained in Pastry from the Le Cordon Bleu method. Ami has had the honor of working both in Austin at Jeffrey’s and the Driskill Hotel, and in London at Le Meridien Piccadilly Circus. Ami has spent 12 years on the pastry bench developing skills in pastry, wedding and special occasion cakes, and a love for all things chocolate and sugar.
